Recently, two of my colleagues (Bryan Naas, our manager of customer services, and Wyatt Bales, one of our account executives) went on a three week trip to Australia. The guys logged 25,000 travel miles visiting our customers and attending the ELH conference, but they came back excited and eager to share all stories about all the people they met and all the wonderful experiences they had. While they were there, they had the pleasure of meeting Paul. Paul Diete is in his ninth year as an educator and we are thrilled to profile him as our Educator of the Month!

In my opinion, teaching is all about helping students draw parallels between what they are learning and the real world. Many of these kids just don’t see how the things we teach are actually applicable to them. I also think we have to be genuinely enthusiastic about education and all the possibilities life as to offer in terms of knowledge. I want them to be engaged in the world we live in and have a natural interest in learning new things. Cultivating that excitement is so important.
