Dr. Leigh McCue-Weil

Matt O’Brien

O’Brien is a science instructor and the dean of studies at Brisbane Boys’ College (BBC) in Queensland, Australia. He believes getting students to “articulate their learning process” is an important part of “creation of knowledge.” However, prior to implementing a one-to-one tablet PC program, doing this wasn’t always as valuable as he envisioned: paper and pencil only provided a static image of problems worked during class. Now, O’Brien uses DyKnow Vision and tablet PCs to provide a place for problem-solving and reflection.

Allison Agee

Allison Agee, social studies teacher at Kalani High School in Hawaii, found her rhythm in 2009 when the school district decided to implement a one-to-one program. Agee did not see the new technology as a barrier to teaching, but rather an exciting new opportunity to reach students in a way they understand.
