New/Enhanced Vision Features

Redesigned User Interface - Experience the ease of DyKnow’s new Microsoft Office™ Fluent® – based user interface, featuring the Ribbon, Quick Access Toolbar, Application Menu, and more for better usability and personal customization.

Audio Recorder (Server Stored) - Save voice recordings with a DyKnow Notebook using the new Audio Recorder. This feature allows instructors to capture and store audio on the server where students can replay lectures synchronized with panels.

Note: Due to the increase in database storage space this new functionality will require, prospective/existing customers should verify their DyKnow server(s) meet the new recommended server specifications prior to upgrading to version 5.1: (Updated server specifications coming soon).

Filmstrip Viewer Resize - Instructors can now customize the filmstrip with larger thumbnails. Simply resize the viewer and watch them grow.

Enhanced Polling - Upgrade in-class quizzing with Enhanced Polling. New functionality includes student answer logging, customized questions and answers, and the ability to save polls to .csv files.

Forced Participant Save - Stop worrying about students forgetting to save class work again. With one simple click, instructors can prompt each participant to save their notebook to the DyKnow server.

New/Enhanced Monitor Features

Real-Time Screen View - See up-to-date, detailed views of student machines with Real Time Screen Shot. The new feature allows an instructor to view streaming screen shots, allowing for better visualization of students computer use.

Remote Control - Take control of a student’s machine with the new Remote Control feature. Help students with questions or supervise their actions from your own computer.

File Transfer - Send files to students via Monitor with the new File Transfer feature. The moderator can transfer one or multiple files from his/her workstation to one or more student’s workstations.

New/Enhanced Administrative Features

Active Directory and Blackboard Integration - In order to provide schools with a complete package, DyKnow now offers the ability to combine Active Directory user ID and password authentication with Blackboards class roster functionality.

Enhanced Grading Cycles and Periods - The newly enhanced Grading Cycles and Periods allow educators to customize the grading cycle or period to their preferred style. Update grading cycles by selecting the number of periods as well as the names of the time segments. Also, enjoy the composite cycle feature which allows administrators to set up grading segments within cycles.
